Acupuncture is a holistic approach to health focusing on treating the root cause. The practice involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to restore balance, promote healing, and improve overall well-being. It allows your body to go into a state of calm, taking you out of that constant stress “fight or flight” mode and into the more calming '“rest and digest” mode.
-
Most people find acupuncture to be relaxing. You might feel a mild sensation or slight pressure when the needles are inserted, but it’s generally not painful.

Your first session includes a detailed consultation to understand your health history and goals, followed by a tailored treatment plan and your first acupuncture session. Treatments can include acupuncture, guasha, cupping, tuina, moxibustion, infrared heat lamps and Chinese herbal formulas.

I warmly welcome everyone into my treatment space. Chinese medicine is a whole health system, we learn a Chinese Medicine perspective on health, and have our own way of looking at disease and illness. We see you as a whole system and treat you accordingly.
Conditions I see often include mental health, pain management, stress, anxiety, insomnia, depression, digestive health, skin health, women’s health, menstrual irregularities, fertility challenges, pregnancy support, menopause, and overall wellness.

The number of sessions required depends on your individual condition and health goals. Acute issues may be resolved in fewer sessions, while chronic conditions often benefit from a longer treatment period or ongoing treatments.
Treatment plans usually consist of 6-10 treatments, with weekly sessions. It is recommended to initially book 3 sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart.
This is slow root cause medicine, often conditions that have been around for a long time will take a little longer to help balance. -

Yes, of course, I support women throughout pregnancy with acupuncture. Acupuncture can be beneficial in all stages of pregnancy, assisting with imbalances. Some things you might come in for could be pain, nausea, headaches, fatigue, stress, anxiety, mental health and calming. Acupuncture can be used for labour prep. It is recommended for you to come in for treatments throughout your pregnancy to have the best outcomes.
When provided by a qualified and registered practitioner, acupuncture is generally considered safe during pregnancy. Treatments are individualised and adjusted with care to suit each stage and the person’s specific needs.
